1. General terms and conditions
The following general terms and conditions of the company MAAX Life UG – hereinafter called MAAX Life – apply exclusively to the online shop at “maax.life”. Offers, sales, deliveries and services of MAAX Life are based exclusively on these general terms and conditions of business. The customer expressly accepts the following general terms and conditions with his order or by accepting the products delivered by MAAX Life. We accept no liability for printing errors and other errors at our website.
2. Conclusion of contract
- The presentation of goods in the online shop does not constitute a binding offer to conclude a contract of sale, rather it is a non-binding request to order in the online shop merchandise.
- By clicking the button “Buy Now” you enter a binding purchase offer / order (§ 145 BGB, German law).
- After entrance of the purchase offer you receive an automatically generated e-mail with which we confirm that we have received your order. The order confirmation however does not constitute acceptance of your offer. It only shows you the receipt of your order with us. With the delivery of the invoice your order is accepted and a contract of sale is achieved.
- We reserve the right in individual cases to reject customer contract offers.
3. Delivery and transfer of risk
Unless otherwise agreed, the goods will be delivered from our warehouse to your address within approximately 3-5 working days (within the EU) after payment has been received. Outside of the EU, delivery times will vary. Whenever possible we will provide you the tracking number of the delivery service.
We would like to point out that all information regarding the availability and shipping of products are approximate. Your order does not represent a guaranteed shipping or delivery date. If, in the course of preparing your order, we determine that a product is not available, we will inform you by email. This does not violate the legal rights of the customer.
MAAX Life bears the risk for loss or damage of the merchandise until the customer has received it.
Any customs duties for importing merchandise have to be borne by the customer itself.
4. Your account
When using our service, you are responsible for securing the confidentiality of your account and password, and/or restricting access to your computer. To the extent permitted under applicable laws, you agree to be responsible for all activity on your account or under your password. Please take all precautions to ensure that your password remains secret and securely stored. Likewise, please inform us if you are concerned that a third party has gained knowledge of your password or if you detect any unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide us is correct and complete, as well as for informing us of any changes to your personal data.
It is prohibited to use the MAAX Life website in the following ways: to interrupt the service or the access to it, to damage or otherwise impair it, to use it for fraudulent means or in connection with a criminal offense, or to use it to harass or cause inconvenience or anxiety.
5. Customs duties / import charges
If you order products from MAAX Life to be delivered outside the EU, you may have to pay import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches the specified destination. Any additional customs handling charges have to be borne by you. We do not have any control on these charges. Customs regulations differ a lot from country to country. You should contact your local customs office for further information. In addition, please note that you will be considered as an importer when you place orders on MAAX Life and have to comply with all the laws and regulations of the country where you are receiving the products. The privacy of your data is important to us and we want to make our international customers aware that cross-border shipments may be opened and checked by customs authorities.
Possible deviations from country-specific standards
In case of international shipments, please note that the manuals, usage instructions and safety warnings may not be compiled in the language of the destination country, the products may not be designed according to the standards applicable in the destination country, specifications or labeling requirements.
You are responsible for ensuring that the product can be legally imported into the destination country. If placing an order on MAAX Life, the recipient is the importer and should ensure that all the laws and regulations of the destination country are followed.
We do not sell products to minors. Our products can only be purchased by adults. If you are under 18, you are allowed to use MAAX Life products only with the assistance of a parent or guardian.
7. Returns and exchange
For undamaged, unused products in original packing the customer has the right to revocate the order without providing reasons within 14 (fourteen) days of receiving the merchandise. For the revocation to take effect please send us back the undamaged package together with the invoice to the address mentioned below. We will refund your payment excluding the delivery costs (no refunding for international shipment costs)

Warranty rights of the customer require that he checks the delivered merchandise on handover and informs MAAX Life in writing about obvious damages within 14 days of receiving the merchandise. Hidden damages must be informed immediately once they are discovered. For every defect notification, MAAX Life can ask the customer to return the rejected/damaged products to MAAX Life at the expense of MAAX Life. If a complaint by a customer proves to be unjustified, the customer is bound to reimburse all expenses incurred in this regard. If the products delivered by MAAX Life contain damages, MAAX Life is entitled to first provide a free replacement delivery to the customer. If the subsequent fulfillment fails, the customer can choose to cancel the purchase agreement or choose a reduction in the price of purchase. Damages due to natural wear and tear, improper use and defective or wrong maintenance are excluded from the warranty or guarantee.
9. Change in the conditions of sale
We reserve the right to make changes to our site, regulations, terms and conditions, including these conditions of sale at any time. On your order the terms of sale, conditions of the contract and general terms of business find in each case application that are into force at the time of your order unless a change in these conditions is legal or necessary on official arrangement (they apply in this case including orders that you have made previously).
10. Jurisdiction and location of fulfilment
Location of fulfillment and jurisdiction for all questions arising in relation to this contractual relationship is Berlin, Germany. This also applies if the customer has no general jurisdiction in the Federal Republic of Germany or has moved his usual domicile out of Germany after conclusion of the contract. The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies.
11. Final clause
If a stipulation of this agreement becomes ineffective, this does not affect the efficacy of the rest of the stipulations. Unless stipulated otherwise in this agreement, the legal stipulations apply.
Alternative Dispute Resolution in accordance with Art. 14 (1) ODR-VO and § 36 VSBG:
